Post Office – Mob Museum

Post Office – Mob Museum

The first U. S. Post Office in Las Vegas was in a tent. The town grew into a city as more people came to settle and prosper, bringing with them the need for mail delivery and formalized law and order. In 1933 the imposing U. S. Post Office and Federal Courthouse opened. Shuttered years later as Vegas outgrew it, the government sold the building to the city and with the leadership of Mayor Oscar Goodman, in 2012 it had a grand reopening as The Mob Museum.
