Sigfried and Roy / Siegfried Fischbacher and Uwe Ludwig Horn (stage name Roy Horn) were German citizens and met while performing on cruise ships.  In 1990 they became headliners at the Mirage Resort.  Their tenure at the Mirage of sold-out audiences lasted till 2003.

On October 3, 2003, Roy’s birthday, a seven year old tiger mauled Roy while on stage.  The attack rendered Roy disabled and suffering from neurological issues the rest of his life till he passed away from COVID complications.
